eres una paloma de paz

que extiendes sereno tus alas por el mundo.

Tiendes tus lienzos blancos 

para cubrir las fauces del odio y la violencia.

Tu estandarte de triunfo fue:

"no violencia"

y "no al ojo por ojo"

Creías en la fuerza potente del perdón

para cambiar el mundo.

Tu legado es un astro incandescente

que brilla por todos los continentes.

Tus palabras son caminos de paz;

tus obras son manojos de sabiduría y verdad.

La voz de Gandhi grita hoy mas fuerte que nunca,

retumba de mar a mar.

¿Oyes sus latidos?

-Dicen en voz clara: paz, paz, paz...

¡El mundo necesita paz!

Llueven mariposas de paz sobre la tierra

es Mahatma Gandhi

quien nos las entrega.

Todos somos hermanos del mismo planeta.

brille la voz de Gandhi en las estrellas del cielo,

siembren conciencia en los corazones de las gentes y gobernantes del mundo entero.

Sus huellas son auras luminosas

para las generaciones venideras.

¡Gandhi es paz,

ya basta de pelear por razas, religiones y demás!

Rains butterflies of peace on earth
